The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department reports that hunters in most areas of the state averaged 1.5 birds each during this last weekends pheasant hunting opener. Which I believe must be good because I don't know how all of those 1/2 birds would survive the harsh South Dakota winter.

It was impressive to see that 13-year-old Allen Rigsby bagged a nice bird over by Salem, SD. I don't know if Allen attributes his good fortune to his fine dog Reba, his trusty 12-gage shotgun, or his fancy new MIX 97.3 field ready beverage bottle.

Perhaps a combination of all of the above.  Whatever, he is one stylin' hunter!  Well done Allan!

(Word is Allen's drink of choice while chasing down his quarry is Gatorade.)
