According to the 31st annual PNC Wealth Management Christmas Price Index the cost of everything in the “12 Days of Christmas” song saw little to no increase this year.

They say a set of gifts in each verse of the song would set you back $27,673 in stores. Thats an increase of less than $300 (or 1%) from last year to which I throw the "BullCrap Flag!"

That seemed excessively high to me, so I did the research and found out that you can get the whole list on the "12 Days of Christmas" a heck of a lot cheaper than PNC says.

Here's what I came up with:

PNC WEALTH MANAGEMENT "12 Days Pricing":

  • Partridge = $20
  • Pear tree = $188
  • 2 turtle doves = $125
  • 3 French hens = $181
  • 4 calling birds (canaries) = $600
  • 5 gold rings = $750
  • 6 geese-a-laying = $360
  • 7 swans a-swimming = $7,000
  • 8 maids a-milking = $58

  • 10 lords a-leaping (per performance) = $5,348
  • 11 pipers piping (per performance) = $2,635
  • 12 drummers drumming (per performance) = $2,855
  • PNC TOTAL = $27,673.00

MY REALISTIC PRICING:
