Earlier this month, the Nebraska football team inspired the nation with the emotional touchdown run cancer patient Jack Hoffman during the Cornhuskers' spring football game.

Now the leader of 'Team Jack' has been honored on the floor of the United State Senate.

Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer singled out Jack in a resolution this week, that was adopted by unanimous consent, noting that pediatric brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths among children.

The resolution also designates Sept. 26, 2013, as “National Pediatric Brain Cancer Awareness Day”.
