The snow and wind on Thursday resulted in 93 vehicle crashes reported to Sioux Falls Police between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Information Officer Sam Clemens says a few crashes happened after 8:00 p.m., with most occurring between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., when crashes were averaging about 10 per hour. He also says the evening rush went better than he expected, and that motorists were slowing down as they should, but he says 93 is still a high number of crashes.

Clemens says only four of the 93 crashes involved injuries, and none were serious.
