There is no doubt that the discussion surrounding guns in America have escalated in recent months. Well one elementary school in Jacksonville, Florida is offering a gun safety class.

A letter from Kernan Trail Elementary School went home to parents on Monday, January 25, 2016, asking to give students permission to attend the Eddie Eagle Gun Safe Program.

According to Fox 25 Boston, the program is for students in pre-K through third grade to learn what to do if they discover a gun. The letter says 25 million children across the country have used the program to learn accident prevention gun safety.

Should a gun safety program be mandatory at all elementary schools in America?
