These days I challenge you to find a kid that doesn't have some kind of smartphone, tablet, or laptop with them practically 24/7.

Most of these kids could also give their parents a thorough tutorial on how to use these devices too.

With kids being so proficient at using all this technology, it can also lead to many unforeseen problems that can keep many a parent up worrying late into the night about all the cyber crimes out there.

New Apps that introduce kids to meeting strangers, or put them at a high risk for things like cyber bullying, or sexting.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in South Dakota has been keeping up with technology over the past decade to help keep kids safe online.

There is now a new company called SaferKid that has developed a website where parents can learn about apps and even sign up for their service. It lets parents do their own research.

According to the sites creator Cheyenne Ehrlich, parents register their child's iCloud information and the system remotely scans the phone each night.  If your child has downloaded what they deem to be a "high risk" app like Kik or Tinder, you'll get an email right away.

Then on a weekly basis they send parents a little update alerting them to the various apps they are using. The social networks they've joined and other products they have procured that you might want to be aware of.

The emails include tips on how to talk to your kids about risky behavior like meeting strangers, bullying or sexting.

Ehrlich says, SaferKid.com allows kids to be kids, but also provides parents with peace of mind.

The new website was just launched about a month ago and a monthly subscription will run users less than $5 a month.

Currently the system only works with Apple products, but an Android version is in the works.
