If you don't want to cook at home, no problem. There are 650 restaurants in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. One of those restaurants was just named best steakhouse in South Dakota. Nope, it wasn't the Outback Steakhouse or Texas Roadhouse, it was locally owned Foley's Fish, Chop and Steakhouse.

A website named Thrillist came up with the top steakhouse in all 50 states including D.C. Here's what they said about Foley's:

Sioux Falls might have the best culinary scene in America that you don't know about. And aside from the bistros and patisseries, the meat-and-potatoes of it is Foleys, an expansive fine-dining steakhouse a few miles southwest of Downtown. Inside you’ll find the same plush, white tablecloth action you’d expect in a big city steakhouse, complemented by a menu full of corn-fed, Midwestern beef and Iowa pork chops.

According to the website:

We wanted to at least know what residents consider the top spot to eat meat in each of their respective states, and to do that, we spoke to locals, chefs, and state tourism boards, as well as consulted online reviews. And after all the opinions were tallied, we narrowed it down to these 51 spots, or the filet mignon of American steakhouses.

Sometimes I don't think we give Sioux Falls enough credit for our culinary delights. Venture out of your comfort zone and try some of our locally-owned eateries.

Foley's is located at  2507 S. Shirley Ave in Sioux Falls.
