A billion people around the world were cut off from the outside world in the middle of the night...and we survived it!

Facebook suffered it's longest outage since 2010 when it went offline at 3am (central time) for about 30 minutes.

A message appeared reading, "Sorry, something went wrong. We’re working on getting this fixed as soon as we can." The outage affected the website and the mobile app.

Facebook released a statement explaining, "Earlier this morning, we experienced an issue that prevented people from posting to Facebook for a brief period of time. We resolved the issue quickly, and we are now back to 100-percent. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused."

A world without Facebook. What would we have done? We might have actually had to go back to talking to each other face to face.
