While it's known that Adele and fiancé Simon Konecki are notoriously private, the rumor mill is spinning that there is trouble in paradise for the new parents.

Adele and her son have been in L.A. while she navigates awards season, since 'Skyfall,' her James Bond theme, is also up for an Oscar. (She recently picked up the Best Original Song statue for 'Skyfall' at the Golden Globe Awards and a Grammy for her live rendition of 'Set Fire to the Rain.') Konecki has remained at home in the U.K., which has been the source of strife between the couple, who welcomed their son in October.

"Simon heads a clean water project charity called Drop4Drop, which he runs out of an office near West Sussex. He's been saying he's too busy with the charity to stay with Adele and their baby in L.A., but really a colleague could handle things just fine," a source said.

The you-know-what stirring source also suggested that Konecki is not making any sort of effort to be with his family, especially during a major career boon for his fiancée. "You'd think being there with Adele and their child, to support his love at this crucial time, would be a no-brainer. She loves him dearly, but at the moment, Adele almost feels like a single mum," the insider proclaimed.

Sources suggest that the stress from being apart has lead her to seek out help in the form of hypnotherapy sessions to alleviate the anxiety.

The source said, "[Adele] can be worrisome and insecure to begin with. The distance between her and Simon, and his seeming reluctance to join her and their son in the States, has really put her on edge. It's almost as if he just can't be bothered!'

Konecki has a job that he cares about and perhaps can't break away from, so let's hope this is all sewing circle chatter.
