Adrian Peterson has rarely participated in preseason games for the Minnesota Vikings, however the star running back might this year if his wish is granted.

Chris Tomasson from the St. Paul Pioneer Press says that Head Coach Mike Zimmer and Peterson have discussed the idea of the 31 year old working a bit during the preseason. Apparently, Peterson also told Tomasson that he wants to play in the preseason as well.

Chances are still probably low that Peterson participates in the preseason outside of a couple of carries each game. Peterson played all 16 regular season games last year and rushed for 1,485 yards.
