Does Conversations With Alanis typically include segments of self-reflection? Because Alanis Morissette needs to sit down and have a little chat with herself.

On last night's (November 3) Tonight Show, the queen of '90s breakup anthems skinned Big Bird alive, sized his hide to fit her slight frame and sang "Ironic" while sporting his flesh like a trench coat.

Sorry, did I say "sang"? I meant clucked. You know, clucked like a bird! This was meant to be funny, because Jimmy Fallon created a fictional, corresponding band for the performance called "Jagged Little Chicks," a nod to Morissette's GRAMMY-winning album and a non-joke that made me swallow a battery in frustration.

Meghan Trainor was there! She also wore a bird suit! Same for Jimmy Fallon, a human amphetamine. There were two guitars and a drum, but the drum was settled on the ground and no one played it.

"Right, sure," you might think. "That's all well and good, but how long could these people have possibly kept clucking the song as if they, themselves were chickens? Not longer than a minute, right?"

Longer.

In honor of the 20th anniversary of Jagged Little Pill last week, Morisette re-released the album with 10 unheard demos that were really good. None of them sounded like a Purdue coop in the moments leading up to slaughter.

Watch the segment above, and remember: Alanis Morissette is (usually) a respected, talented person.
