Students attending Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota have the chance to promote their school with a commercial that will air during the most watched TV event of the year - the Super Bowl.

Because the price tag of a commercial during the Super Bowl usually runs in the millions of dollars, representatives from BHSU are quick to point out that the winning video will be seen locally, which means it will not be seen by millions of people all over the world.

And instead of the million dollar price tag, BHSU will be charged between $2,000 and $2,500 for the commercial, which is the rate for a non-profit organization like a university. But even though millions of people won't get to see the BHSU commercial done by students that attend the university, around 75,000 people (regionally) will get to see the commercial, which is still a lot of people!

The purpose of the project is to get BHSU students into a creative mood and allow them to promote the university by using their marketing and promotional skills.  After the winning video has been chosen, other entries may be showcased on the BHSU website, at university events or possibly used as promotional and marketing tools for the university.

Winners will receive prizes such as iPads, cash and gift certificates.

Super Bowl XLIX will air on Sunday, February 1st, 2015 on NBC.
