We the people of the United States have the ability to ask the president to do silly things thanks to the We The People Petitions feature on the White House’s website. If you reach 100,000 signatures within 30 days, the White House promises a response to the petition.

On January 23 someone started a petition to have Justin Bieber deported and revoke his green card. The petition reads:

We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.

As of this writing, in only six days, it has over 110,000 signatures. Therefore the White House will have to make a statement regarding the allegedly drunk drag racer and pop star Justin Bieber.

While this sounds silly for the Oval Office to deal with, Bieber’s status in the U.S. likely won’t cause him to get kicked out of the country because the crimes he is accused of aren’t aggravated felonies.

The president has had respond to stranger petitions than a pop star deportation. In January of 2013 a Colorado man petitioned to have the U.S. government build a “Death Star,” like the on in the “Star Wars” movies, by 2016. After that the White House raised the number of signatures from 25,000 to its current level of 100,000.
