An American Astronaut shared a number of personal experiences while speaking at the Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau's Annual Luncheon!

Mark Kelly talked about his wife Gabrielle Giffords who was shot over 3 years ago.

"Gabby's doing really well!  It's been about three and a half years since she was nearly assassinated.  When you consider the kind of injuries she had---and how far she's come, it's really remarkable."

Kelly says his wife has started riding a bike again.

"I talked to her yesterday, and she rode it twice.  Two hours.  One hour in the morning, and one hour yesterday.  She's pretty excited."

Mark Kelly flew his first of four missions in 2001 aboard Space Shuttle Endeavour.  Ten years later, he commanded the same ship on its final mission.

During the luncheon, Results Radio/Townsquare Media was honored with the industry's annual media award.
