An App That Helps You Fight Parking Tickets, Making Meter Maids Cringe

Okay, how many times have you received a parking ticket you felt was unfair? A bunch I'm guessing. You more than likely just ended up paying the stupid thing, because you didn't want to take the time to fight it and probably lose anyway, right?

Well good news, there is now a new app called Fixed that will help you fight that unjust, pesky parking ticket.

Here's how it works, you get a ticket. You take a photo with the app of the ticket and describe why you feel the ticket is unfair. Broken meter, missing sign, whatever the reason may be.

The experts at Fixed will evaluate the ticket, and figure out your odds of beating it. Here's the deal, if you beat the ticket, you pay Fixed 25% of the face value of the ticket.

If you don't beat the ticket, you don't have to pay them anything. You would obviously have to end up paying the city 100% of the cost of the ticket. But nothing to Fixed.

You actually end up paying something either way, but the gamble not to just automatically pay 100% of the ticket seems worthwhile.

Here's the downside right now, the app is currently available in the app store right now. But, it's only starting out in San Francisco at the moment. The good news, they plan on expanding to other cities fairly quickly. Hopefully it won't be too long before it reaches our neck of the woods.
