Anonymous Sioux Falls Donor Encourages Giving #AnyGift

#AnyGift. It's more than a Twitter hashtag, it's a mission for an anonymous Sioux Falls philanthropist. The unknown man periodically sends a hand written letter and a .9999 ounce piece of gold as a donation to worthy charities. He does this to not only benefit the charity, but it is also done in an attempt to get others to give as well.

Mr. Anonymous approached management here at Results Radio/Townsquare Sioux Falls about a few of the morning shows presenting a gift of gold coin to a worthy charity. Tasha and I were one of those chosen to present the gift. We didn't do it, we were just picked as a vehicle to deliver the gold and the letter to Becky Rasmussen from Call to Freedom, a group that provides services to victims of human trafficking.

Tasha and I never spoke to Mr. Anonymous. We are completely in the dark as to his identity.

So if you are able to give something to someone or an organization, do so. It doesn't take a lot to make a big difference. Imagine if 500 people saw or heard about #AnyGift gave $10 to something worthy, that would be $5,000 given to those who need it. So give what you can. My wife and I haven't figured out what we'll do yet, but I we will do something. Please do the same. I bet it will feel good!
