A Sioux Falls park that's been a topic for police calls in recent weeks saw another incident Wednesday night.

Police say a man was stabbed at Van Eps Park, and the man who allegedly stabbed him, 26-year-old Dustin Berhow, was knocked unconscious by others at the park.

Lieutenant Loren McManus says the 47-year-old victim was at the park around 9:30pm and befriended a woman there, and when he asked her to leave with him, Berhow stepped in.

McManus says Berhow produced a multi-tool with a small knife blade and stabbed the victim in the torso, causing injuries that were not life-threatening.

He says others came to the aid of the victim and the woman, and Berhow was knocked unconscious, although police don't yet know how that happened.

He was treated at a hospital and then jailed on an aggravated assault charge.

The victim was treated at the scene and refused further medical attention.
