Today (6/1/17) has been proclaimed New Year's Resolution Recommitment Day. So who's up for giving their New Year's resolution another try?

Anyone?

Hello?

Anyone out there?

Just what I thought.

Why do we insist on making stupid New Year's resolutions the first of every year?

And I'm guilty of it just like everyone else.

It never fails, every year I tell myself on the first of January, "By golly, this is the year I'm going to lose weight."

Really Chad?

I'm 55 years old. What makes me think this year's going to be any different?

I make the commitment on the first and by the 15th I'm throwing in the towel and ordering out for pizza.

For those of you who are disciplined enough to actually follow through with your New Year's resolution, a round of applause. I don't know how you do it.

For the rest of us, today is the day we're suppose to "recommit" ourselves and give it another shot.

Okay, I'm in.

But I can't start until tomorrow. I have cold pizza from last night waiting for me in the fridge.
