Ariana Grande is truly ready to "Break Free" — from her relationship, that is.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the pop star and her backup dancer boyfriend, Ricky Alvarez, have broken up. A source confirmed the split to EW after Grande seemingly deleted all traces of her beau from Instagram.

Tellingly, the "Dangerous Woman" singer — who recently gave "Bang Bang" a new meaning with her surprising new fringe-featuring hairstyle — posted a number of tweets alluding to "change" and "freedom" over the weekend.

"Change. feelin free. happy. Banginnnnnnn. but yeah bangs. (not just talking bangs)," Grande also tweeted, though deleted soon after.

Later, the singer cryptically addressed her fans, thanking them for "having [her] best interest at heart" and telling them that they were right, though it was unclear if she was simply speaking about her new hair or hinting at something more intimate.

Rumors of trouble between Grande and Alvarez were sparked in early July, when the pop star and actress reunited with her ex-boyfriend Graham Phillips, who she starred with on Broadway in the musical 13 between 2008 and 2009.

Grande and Alvarez were first rumored to be a couple last summer when they were caught kissing on surveillance camera during Ari's infamous doughnut-licking incident.

Neither have yet publicly addressed the breakup speculation and currently, photos of the performer remain on Alvarez's Instagram.
