The blizzard like conditions outside didn't deter a suspect from robbing a Sioux Falls business on Thursday night.

KDLT News is reporting Sioux Falls police were dispatched to a Southwest Sioux Falls business around 8:20 PM on Thursday (February 23) after a hold up alarm was activated.

Police say when they first arrived at the business the activity inside appeared to be normal. However, upon speaking with employees, that's when they found out the business had indeed been robbed.

According to the report, a white male entered the business and told an employee he was from their corporate office. He quickly displayed a black handgun and demanded the employee take him to the safe inside the office.

Police say the suspect left the scene in what appeared to be a white pickup with an undetermined amount of money. The incident is currently under investigation.

Anyone with additional information regarding this latest Sioux Falls robbery is asked to please call Crime Stoppers at 367-7007.
