On Thursday (September 14) Sioux Falls residents will have the chance to visit with renowned sculptor and South Dakota artist laureate Dale Lamphere.

Lamphere is the artist responsible for the Native American sculpture "Dignity" that sits atop a bluff overlooking the Missouri River in Chamberlain.

He's also been commissioned to build the "Arc of Dreams," a stainless steal sculpture that will stretch across the Big Sioux River in downtown Sioux Falls.

Lamphere will give a free public presentation as well as take questions as part of the "Art, Architecture and Community Celebration."

The event begins at 7:00 PM at the Best Western Plus Ramkota Hotel on 3200 W. Maple Street. Admission is free of charge.
