Sioux Falls Police Officer Sam Clemens says two people were arrested in connection with an incident near an elementary school.

""We had a 17-year-old girl who went to pick up some relatives near Hayward Elementary School. She saw some people that she believed were smoking marijuana. The girl made a comment to them that they should probably find a better place to do it. One of the people in the car pointed a gun at her and essentially told her to mind her own business. She was able to get a license plate number. We had officers that found the car. The suspect that pointed a gun took her running from the car. He was later found at his house and was arrested for aggravated assault. The 17-year-old was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center. There was a small amount of marijuana that was found in the car and the driver was arrested on drug charges."

Clemens says officers searched the car but couldn't find the gun. It's not known if it was a real gun or BB gun.
