UPDATE: 50+ Dead 200+ Injured in Vegas Shooting

A gunman had broken a hotel window and was firing down into the crowd with a high powered weapon.

The gunman opened fire during Jason Aldean’s performance at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival.

Officers reportedly broke open the door of the hotel room on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay and killed the gunman who was a white male in his 60s.

 Authorities shut down part of the Las Vegas Strip and Interstate 15 while they looked for the shooter.
