We are so fortunate in our little corner of the world to have so many people who genuinely care about the well-being of others.

Unfortunately, because there are so many charitable groups in our area some of them get a bit lost in the hustle and bustle of the holidays. This is one you should know about.

Augustana College's Christmas Giving program has a 25 year history of good works in Sioux Falls. Their Serving and Learning Together (SALT) student organization is, for the third year, overseeing the "Teen Town" gift and fundraising program in conjunction with the Salvation Army's "Toy Town".

Teen Town allows parents to choose gifts for their teens, aged 13 to 18, after gifts for their younger children have been chosen. Augie SALT students are hoping to collect 900 gifts for teens in the $20 to $25 dollar range. You can bring gifts to the Campus Safety desk in the Morrison Commons by Friday, December 12th. Gift distribution will be on December 18th and 19th. Call SALT for more info at 605-274- 5011, check out their Facebook page, website or donate online here.
