Karla Brown

It was a cold January morning many, many, many years ago. An 8 pound, 2 ounce baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Brown in Wagner, SD. The names Jennifer Lee and Myra Jean were tossed around but, "Karla" finally stuck. No, I wasn't named after my grandma or any other important figure in my parent's life. I was named after a soap opera character on "General Hospital." Fast forward many, many, many years and here I am. I wanted this job so bad, I started on Christmas Eve, 1994. Now, that's dedication! My interests include stalking Rick Springfield, stalking Ben Davis and stalking Todd Heitkamp. Join me from 2-6pm every weekday and we'll "MIX it up!"

Amanda Allstot – Cure Kids Cancer

Amanda is a student at Washington High School in Sioux Falls, a member of the basketball team, a 'typical teenager', and a cancer survivor! Amanda shares her thoughts on her Facebook page and we wanted to give you a glimpse into this amazing young lady's life:

"Whether one leg or two there are no limits to what you're able to achieve"

"Bad things happen to good people because God knows good people will find a way to overcome it"

"I admit I do get scared but I put on a smile and act like nothing's wrong because you never know who draws strength from your smile"
