One of the things I enjoy most about this time of year is those early evening grilled Sioux Falls summer suppers.   Whatever is on the BBQ is fine with me, but I'm a big burger fan.

And of course you have your beef burgers, turkey burgers, tofu and soy burgers but over the years I think I have perfected the perfect burger recipe.  And it's made with venison.  My wife even enjoys them.  And that's no small thing.  She's kinda picky.

Here's my recipe for best darn burgers...ever:

  • 1 pound venison
  • 1 pound lean Italian sausage
  • 4 teaspoons onion powder
  • 3 teaspoons beef bouillon granules
  • 3 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • A couple of squirts of yellow mustard

This makes about 6 of the tasties patties that'll ever please your palate or pallet - whichever - they're darn good.

FYI-If you do use a Vikings spatula be careful, towards the end of all your preparations it sometimes disappoints.
