Beyonce and Kelly Clarkson are both heading to Washington, D.C. this month as featured performers at President Obama's second inauguration.

According to USA Today, Beyonce will sing the national anthem at the West Front of the U.S. Capitol, and Clarkson will sing 'My Country, 'Tis of Thee.' James Taylor is also on the bill, scheduled to perform a rendition of 'America the Beautiful.'

Obama officially take the oath of office at the White House on Jan. 20, as mandated by the Constitution, but the repeat swearing-in ceremony, inaugural parade, inaugural balls and star-studded performances will take place on Monday, Jan. 21. The president will also deliver his second inaugural address.

Although A-listers like Beyonce and Clarkson are set to appear at the inauguration, experts say that the events will be more low key this year, given the state of the economy. An estimated 1.8 million people attended the 2009 ceremony, but officials expect just over 1 million this time around.

“Second term inaugurals can be more difficult since they lack the newness or excitement of a first-term new beginning,” Republican operative Brad Dayspring said. “That is especially the case this year with President Obama, who lacks the excitement of 2008 and still presides over a lackluster economy and unconfident country."

Kelly tweeted about the upcoming ceremony, below:
