No doubt about it!  The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House in Sioux Falls is filling a need in our community. Chad Campbell, Executive Director of the House, says records were set this week.

"On Sunday evening, we had a record night of 21 women, 74 men and our 7 family units were completely full. Then on Monday night we had 17 women, 75 men and 7 family rooms filled completely again. As you can see, with the colder weather in town and the temperatures dipping below freezing, we have a great need in Sioux Falls to help shelter those who are the most vulnerable in our community."

Aside from providing shelter to the homeless residents, Chad says the House is giving them hope for the first time in their lives.

"That's the thing we try to do! We want to give these individuals hope, dignity and respect. We want to show them that they may be at a point in their lives that is difficult and seems overwhelming---but, through time, diligence and hard work we can pick the pieces up and we can start to pull things back together for them."

The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House can accommodate 80 men, 20 women, and seven families. The facility offers its guests everything from laundry facilities to family day rooms.
