Black Friday is underway! For many, it started around 5pm on Thanksgiving Day. That appeared to be the magic time this year that a number of retailers opened their doors for the mayhem that has become Black Friday shopping.

If you've braved the crowds, in search of the $35 blue ray players, $69 tablets and $200 high-definition TV's, God bless you, you're a better and stronger person than I am.

Hopefully you came through the whole ordeal unscathed, or with at least just a few minor bruises and contusions.

Now for the bad news. There's a good chance all those booming bargains you risked life and limb for will be broken by this time next year.

A new study found almost one of three things people bought on last Black Friday was already broken, lost, or stolen.

And often times those items you slugged it out for on Black Friday, ended up being the gift that people appreciated the least. Leaving you with the burning question, was it all really work it?

If you're like my wife and mother-in-law, the answer is yes.

If you ask them, 99.9% of all the Black Friday fun, is the thrill of the chase. Seeing if you're one of the lucky ones to actually get your hands on a $5.00 Electric Back Shaver.

Myself, I just don't get it! I'll stay home and watch the "Dirty Harry" marathon on that 50-inch $200 high-def TV that my wife purchased on Black Friday last year any day.
