When law enforcement in Rapid City disclosed that they found the body of an elderly woman in a freezer last week, they also said the body could have been transported from out of state. Now they are linking it back to Fayetteville Arkansas.

Pennington County Sheriff Kevin Thom says the body was found last Thursday March 10, 2016 while authorities investigated a possible missing person case in conjunction with an ongoing fraud investigation.

Pennington County Sheriff's Captain Corey Brubakken says there were four people living in the home where the body was found, and they have cooperated with the investigation.

Police in Arkansas say they are pleased with the cooperation between the two law enforcement agencies as they work together on the investigation.

The woman has not been identified and an autopsy will be conducted today (Monday) to determine the woman's cause of death.
