Police say three bomb-type devices were tossed into or near businesses in southwest Sioux Falls over the weekend.

Officer Sam Clemens says the first was reported just after 5:00 p.m. Friday in the 4400 block of West Empire Place:

Clemens says the bottle was thrown from a vehicle that went past the store, and exploded in front of the automatic doors where an employee inhaled some of the vapor. The employee was treated at a hospital.

Similar devices were reported Saturday evening, one at 8:55 p.m. just inside the door at Skyzone, on West Solberg Place and the other just after 9:00 p.m. in a garbage container at Pomegranate Market on South Louise Avenue.

Clemens says police are still investigating and are looking at surveillance video at two of the businesses.
