The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire are hosting their annual special Day for Kids on Thursday, August 17 (2017) at the club at 700 South Sneve Avenue, from 9:30 AM to 7 PM.

There will be all kinds of activities for kids and their parents: presentations by the Sioux Falls Police Department, the Washington and O'Gorman High School soccer teams will be doing soccer clinics, Sioux Valley Optimist Club is sponsoring the Tri-State Soccer Competition and Ground Works - Midwest is doing a Y.E.S. (Youth Eating Smart) camp.

The Games2Go Trailer will be there from 2 to 6 adding video gaming fun to the event. Back-to-School registration information will be more lively with Bounce Around Inflatables for kids and then beginning at 5 the Boys and Girls Club staff will be grilling up hot dogs for everyone.

This fun and informative event not only highlights Back-to-School season but also hopes to remind all of us about the importance of children having good adult role models in their lives.

According to Boys and Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire CEO Rebecca Wimmer, they strive to "enable kids and teens to reach their full potential by staying on track to graduate, demonstrating good character and citizenship and practicing healthy lifestyles”, because every child deserves a great future.
