A Brandon man has turned himself into authorities after stabbing another man during an argument on Friday (June 9) in Sioux Falls.

KDLT News is reporting the stabbing took place around noon on Friday at an apartment located in the 700 block of South Lyons Avenue, just a few blocks south of West 12th Street.

Authorities told KDLT News that 24-year-old Mason J. Bryant was returning his child, to the child's mother, Bryant's ex-girlfriend, when an argument broke out between Bryant and another man.

According to the report, a third man got involved in an attempt to try and diffuse the situation, and a fight ensued between Bryant and the third individual.

During their scuffle, the victim was stabbed by Bryant in the stomach.

The 47-year-old victim was taken to a Sioux Falls hospital with serious and life threatening injuries.

KDLT reports that Bryant ended up driving himself to the Sioux Falls Law Enforcement facility, where police arrested him and charged Bryant with aggravated assault.
