I think every obituary I've read in the Sioux Falls Argus-Leader, or on any number of on-line sights, has been nonjudgmental and flowery.  Not so for Marianne Theresa Johnson-Reddick who recently passed away in Nevada.  Her's was scathing.

Her daughter, who submitted the obit to the Reno Gazette-Journal said: "She is survived by six of her eight children whom she spent her lifetime torturing in every way possible.  On behalf of her children who she so abrasively exposed to her evil and violent life, we celebrate her passing from this earth and hope she lives in the after-life reliving each gesture of violence, cruelty and shame that she delivered on her children."

Johnson-Reddick, who died on Aug. 30th, was 78 when she passed away at a Reno nursing home.

Do you think this obituary is out of line?  Do you believe that obits should more realistically reflect who the deceased was and how they really conducted themselves?
