Charity Gift Bag Event
This Saturday is National Make-A-Difference Day, and once again as they have done for many years, Heirloom Creations on Western Avenue here in Sioux Falls is asking for help in doing just that!
Heirloom Creations makes and donates zippered fabric bags full of travel-size soaps, shampoos, conditioners, toothbrushes, toothpaste and other basic toiletry items. The Charity Gift bags go to Children’s Inn and The Banquet providing much appreciated personal hygiene products to the clients served by these great organizations.
If you collect travel size items when you travel, but never use them, donate them now, get them out of your home and you’ll be making a real difference for someone in need!
Over the years 500 to 2,500 charity gift bags have been completed with the help of great volunteers. So if you would like to help call 605-332-4435 and ask for Sara or Cleo, or just stop in to Heirloom Creations at 3800 S. Western Avenue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th.
Sara Snuggerud from Heirloom Creations says they are always looking for toiletry items to help fill the bags they lovingly make, so here is another opportunity to help. Set up a donation box where you work, gather donations throughout the year and then drop them off for Make a Difference Day.
