    The 17th Annual Christmas at the Cathedral from St. Joseph Cathedral will present six inspiring performances December 19-22.

    Returning this year world renowned tenor Scott Piper. Along with Broadway star Marni Raab and Dan Goeller conducting the Christmas at the Cathedral orchestra.

  • Holiday Jam with the Hegg Brothers

    Several performances through the Christmas season.  Click the link below for times and dates.

    Saturday, December 21 7:30pm at the Washington Pavilion.  The Hegg Brothers along with a 10-piece band will feature holiday classics as well as contemporary new arrangements.  Tickets are $22.50 and available at the Washington Pavilion box office.

    Sunday, December 22 4:00pm at the Orpheum Theater in downtown Sioux Falls.  The Hegg Brothers along with a 10-piece band will feature stories of the season, messages for the heart and music to lift the spirits.  Proceeds benefit Children’s Care Hospital and School.

  • Miracle on 41st Street Toy Drive

    The Miracle on 41st Street Toy Drive kicks off once again Friday, November 29 and will continue through December 24th in the Macy's Wing of the Empire Mall. The toy drive benefits the children and families staying at the Sioux Falls Children's Inn.

  • Christmas at Western Mall

    Santa will make an appearance at Christmas at The Western Mall Sunday, December 15 and 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pictures with Santa will be available for a free-will donation to Make-A-Wish.

    December 15 is also Make-A-Wish kids and family night. Several wish kids and their families will be attending.

    The 8th annual Christmas at the Western Mall light show will run from Thanksgiving through New Years Day (November 28, 2013-January 1, 2014) in the center court of the Western Mall.

    Since its inception, people who come and enjoy the show are given the opportunity to make a freewill donation to Make-A-Wish of South Dakota. 100% of the donations go directly to the charity so over the first seven years, over $170,000 has been donated to grant wishes to sick kids in our state.

    The music selections change every year, and this year will feature Trans Siberian Orchestra, DJ Schwede and Enya.

    The show will run nightly from 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Thanksgiving through New Years.

  • Tree of Hope

    Each year McCrossan Boys Ranch tries to make Christmas a little merrier for the boys by collecting a new outfit and gift for each of them. This year's Tree of Hope will be located at Dakota Sports and Scheels All Sports, HyVee on Minnesota Avenue, HyVee on E. 10th and Sunshine Foods in Brandon. Our Tree of Hope gives you a chance to help make this a Christmas the boys will never forget. Approximately half have no families or homes to go to over the holidays. Many of the others have families who are struggling to make ends meet and cannot afford Christmas gifts.

    Each tree has cards with the names of all boys on them and several gift and clothing ideas. Select a card, buy a gift and return the gift and card to the tree.All cards and gifts must be returned by Friday, December 27th.
