Mayor Mike Huether has announced three upcoming vacancies to the Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority (REMSA) in Sioux Falls.

REMSA provides guidance and recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on matters related to emergency medical services and provides oversight of emergency medical services in Sioux Falls, including call taking, emergency medical dispatch, law enforcement and fire first response, ambulance service, and online medical control.

REMSA consists of five members that are appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the City Council, and each member may serve up to a five-year term. Meetings are held every fourth Wednesday of the month at 12 noon. Interested persons should have a strong commitment to public service.
