I've been sick for about a week now and I'm sick of it.

I even went to the doctor because I was convinced that it was strep or something serious. I haven't been sick in a while. Turns out, I'm just sick. I went through that strep test for nothing.

Anyway, I received some suggestions from listeners about what helps them get over a cold. I had just been sucking on cough drops, taking NyQuil and  DayQuil and some ibuprofen as needed.

One listener suggested EmergenC, another suggested Echinacea, and another suggested getting a humidifier. So I got all three.

Here is the Echinacea I bought. As you can see it proudly displays that it helps with the immune system.

But wait, what do those little asterisks mean?

Oh, the asterisks mean that basically none of that is proven, but take these huge pills anyway because you're desperate and you want to stop mouth breathing. (Never mind my chipped nail polish leftover from Halloween.)

Emergen-C! Ok, this looks promising. I know people that have used this. And look, it has all these cool things in it to help me get better. It says so in all those orange bubbles.

But oh wait, in that fine print at the bottom it basically says that none of the stuff saying this will make me better is true. Well, oh well. I'll drink some anyway.

Doesn't look too scary, right?!?!

All this better be worth it.

I don't have a picture of the humidifier or me using it because that would basically be me sleeping while mouth breathing, which I thought was unnecessary.

Here's hoping to a speedy recovery.

I got a suggestion to try Zicam after this post was done. If and when I try that. I'll let you know.
