Colder Weather In Sioux Falls [AUDIO]

Meteorologist Kyle Wiser of the National Weather says Sioux Falls received several inches of snow on Thursday.

Wiser tells KSOO Radio:  "The storm wrapped up late Thursday afternoon and during the evening over eastern South Dakota and then moved up to southwest Minnesota.  Most locations got somewhere between 2 and 5 inches of snow.  Temperatures were just warm enough to melt the a lot of the snow as it landed.  Right in the Sioux Falls area we received around 2 to 3 inches."

Wiser says cold temperatures will embrace the area through Saturday.  "Unfortunately with the snow on the ground, that sets up a couple of cool days coming up.  In fact, we could see low temperatures Friday night meeting or exceeding records.  We're going from low to mid teens for much of the area Saturday morning.  Today and Saturday during the day not very warm---highs mid to upper 30's and windy.  Sunday's high around 50 in Sioux Falls."
