Heavy Rainfall hit Colman and surrounding areas on Saturday June 6, 2015.  Lori Hewitt was driving from Sioux Falls to her home near the Colman and I-29 interchange when she had to pull over and wait at a gas station as visibility was too limited to drive safely.  A flash flood warning was issued and after two and a half hours to make it home on what is normally a quick drive from Sioux Falls, she found flooded fields, roads and six and a half inches in her rain gauge.

Another Colman resident says 8 inches fell at their location.
