Costco Cracking Down In Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota
Costco stores in Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota could be enforcing a new rule that will affect who eats at the popular giant discount store.
The Costco food court has many very popular items including the $1.50 ¼ pound All Beef Hot Dog with a 20 oz. Soda, $1.99 slice of pizza, and the $3.99 Chicken Bake sandwich.
Of course, Costco everywhere requires a membership to shop the big discount retailer.
But apparently, it's become common knowledge that anyone can stop in and get something to eat at the food court with or without a membership card.
That is about to change.
A sign posted at a Costco in Florida and shared on Reddit stated...
"Effective April 8, 2024, an active Costco membership card will be required to purchase items from our food court," the sign read. "You can join today. Please see our membership counter for details."
Costco has started cracking down on asking for membership cards ever since they implemented the nationwide use of self-checkout stations.
According to The Street many Costco locations have posted a similar sign but it's not clear as to when they will implement a country-wide policy.
