Joey Feek from the country duo Joey+Rory has passed away after a battle with cancer. She was 40.

Rory wrote this on his blog today (due to high traffic, the site has been down):

"My wife's greatest dream came true today. She is in Heaven," he wrote. "The cancer is gone, the pain has ceased and all her tears are dry. Joey is in the arms of her beloved brother Justin and using her pretty voice to sing for her savior."

Joey was first diagnosed with stage IV cervical cancer in 2014. In October 2015, she stopped treatment because it was determined the cancer had spread and chemotherapy was ineffective.

The couple has three children, a daughter Indiana who is 2 and Rory's daughters from a previous relationship, Heidi, 29, and Hopie, 27.
