With Father's Day having come-and-gone, it's always nice to reflect back on things our dads shared with us while we were growing up. They're called "Daddyisms."

They're those little bits of advice that your dad offered up that stuck with you over the years. For me, it was the phrase, "Righty tighty, lefty loosey."

Over the weekend, I posted an article on Facebook regarding Daddyisms and got some fun responses. Here are just a few:

Glenna - You make your bed, you sleep in it.

Kathy - Don't call if I run out of gas. Always keep the top half filled.

Sheryl - Carouse all night, you still get up the next morning.

Judy - Nothing Good Ever happens after Midnight. Be Home At 11:30.

Pam - Never start a fight, but never run from one either.

John - When transporting farm equipment, take your half out of the middle of the road.

Dave - Business math.

Annette -"Even a fish wouldn't get into trouble if they kept their mouth shut once in awhile."

Chris - Don't spend more than you make.

Again, that's just a sampling of some of the responses I heard from my Facebook friends. Most agreed, we all carry around one or two of dad's "hopefully helpful hints."

Can you think of any other Daddyisms that should be added to the list? If so, share them with us.
