Just days after Courteney Cox announced her engagement to Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid, her ex-husband David Arquette has some wedding news of his own: he's engaged to his girlfriend, Christina McLarty!

The actor's rep confirms to Us Weekly that Arquette popped the question to McLarty in Malibu, California yesterday, July 2 -- while a source adds that the couple's 2-month-old son Charlie and Arquette and Cox's 10-year-old daughter, Coco, were present at the proposal, which reportedly occurred at Mastro's Steakhouse restaurant.

While the timing of his proposal may cause some to raise eyebrows, it was actually a thought-out plan, another insider claims. "He and Courteney both talked about taking the next step in their relationships," the source explained. "They both want what's best for each other."

And it seems like the exes, who divorced in 2010 after nearly 11 years together, are truly happy for one another. Arquette has referred to McDaid as "amazing" and a "great guy," and Cox revealed that they have all gone out to dinner together, calling their blended family a "unique relationship."

Arquette and McLarty have been together since 2011, and welcomed little Charlie in late April 2014. Congratulations to the happy couple on their engagement!
