A patent has been granted to a genetics company that would allow parents to design their ideal child.

The patent was granted to 23andMe, a genetic testing company based in California.

The system works sort of like a calculator, letting parents select traits such as hair color and freckling.

It then determines which combination of DNA and cells would produce a baby that most closely resembles the parents’ design.

Maybe it's just me, but messing with DNA and genetic makeup seems awfully risky. How about you? Would you want to be able to determine traits in your unborn child?
