It took about four hours for a jury to decide the fate of Maricela Diaz Wednesday in a Sioux Falls courtroom.  The Mexican national was found guilty on all counts of first degree murder, kidnapping and arson.

Back in 2009 when Diaz was 15 years old, she and her boyfriend Alexander Salgado lured 16-year old Jasmine Guevara to a remote site near Mitchell, stabber her and left her to die in the trunk of a burning car.

Salgado is already serving a life sentence for his part in the crime.  Diaz will be sentenced at a later date.

Numerous reports of an emotional scene inside the Minnehaha County Courthouse followed the reading of the verdict as both sides were overcome.
