Did Denny’s Make Mistake With This Mascot?

I haven't been to the Denny's here in Sioux Falls lately, so I don't know if they have a 'Snap the Slams' in their lobby. But Snap is getting some bad press nationwide. Folks don't think he looks like a fun hat-wearing sausage as intended.
