Multitasking in the bathroom

Generally when a person goes into the bathroom with the intent of sitting on the throne, you're more than likely planning on taking care of some business right?

But little did we know most of us are actually conducting other business while in there too.

There's a new survey out that claims 90% of people multitask while sitting on the toilet. When you think about it, it makes a ton of sense. The bathroom is the one place in your house that is completely quiet; you can concentrate and really get some stuff done.

Typically, the average person uses his or her "throne" time in the bathroom to catch up on some reading, play a few games on your phone or tablet, answer emails, or checkout Facebook.

As a matter of fact, 30% of people admitted to checking Twitter, Instagram, having a telephone conversation or perfecting their mad skillz on apps like Temple Run or Candy Crush.

I had a friend years ago back in school that ate an entire pizza while on the throne, but that's a story for another time. Needless to say alcohol was involved. Shocker huh?

And now for the great debate, just who spends more time on the throne, men or women?

The survey found, on average most of us spend at least five minutes in the bathroom each time we go. And despite what the lines at public restrooms suggest, men by and large take a longer time than women do in the can. The average man spends ten minutes or more on the pot.

Hey, that’s an easy one to explain, 9 out of 10 times there’s always another family member knocking on the door wanting to know if you’re done yet within two minutes of you finally getting into the bathroom.  So we have to savor every extra minute we get, right guys?

Here's a video that illustrates how men have perfected the art of multitasking in the bathroom. Enjoy!
