Remember always: It’s not XXX, it’s xXx.

(The one capitalized x for is for “x-citement.”)

And speaking of x-citement, everyone’s favorite x-treme sports n-thusiast turned James Bond-style super-spy is making his big c-omeback in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. (Cage was MIA from the second xXx, 2005’s State of the Union). Paramount officially announced yesterday that it would distribute the film, starring Vin Diesel as Xander Cage, in the near future. Today, The Hollywood Reporter says today the movie also has its villain: Donnie Yen, in a part that was originally filled by Jet Li.

Though largely unknown in the States, Donnie Yen is a huge action star in Asia, where he’s headlined many awesome martial-arts thrillers (like Flash Point and the Ip Man series). He’s already set to appear in the Rogue One Star Wars spinoff, and now he’ll get to antagonize Vin Diesel with all kinds of x-treme kicks and punches. It couldn’t happen to more badass dude.

Here, from the press release, is the plot description. I will let you figure out who Donnie Yen is playing:

The third explosive chapter of the blockbuster franchise that redefined the spy thriller finds extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) coming out of self-imposed exile and on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora’s Box. Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments. Packed with the series’ signature deadpan wit and bad-ass attitude, “xXx: THE RETURN OF XANDER CAGE will raise the bar on extreme action with some of the most mind-blowing stunts to ever be caught on film.

I can’t wait to meet his all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts! They’re going to raise the bar on extreme action!
