Today.com contributing writer Terri Peters talked to a whole lot of teachers from preschool through high school and asked that same question. If you really want to avoid being one of "those" parents, check out this list of things that drive teachers crazy.

  1. Back to school gifts- -No more mugs, please! School supplies or a small gift card would be greatly appreciated
  2. Ignoring school information (school website, newsletters, notes in your child's backpack) and then complain you don't know what is going on
  3. Refusing to put your cell phone away when you pick-up and drop-off your kids.
  4. Sending your child to school with supplies not on the list
  5. Pushing your child too hard
  6. Divorced parents who refuse to put aside differences for your child's benefit
  7. Shielding your child from failure, actions have consequences and all children need to learn that
  8. Blaming other children when your child does something wrong.
